Bonjour Mhennessey,
Welcome to Frenchpod!
I think you'd better try first the newbie and elementary lessons, to check your level, and if you understand everything, try the intermediate or upper intermediate lessons. Anyway, it`s good to listen to several levels as there is always something to learn in every lessons!:)

bonjour! je suis tres heureuse que french pod a une application maintenant pour mon iPhone. mais, desole, il ne marche pas pour moi!
i uploaded the french pod app as soon as you mentioned it on the site and all that it contained were "flash cards" of french words. better than nothing, but a bit disappointing. i was excited to see on my applications button that there was an update for french pod's app. i uploaded the "update", but ever since doing so can't even access french pod. i touch the icon on my phone it says "accessing french pod" shows a pic of the french pod logo for about 2 seconds then reverts back to my main touch screen w/o ever connecting to french pod. i'm not having any other problems with my phone or any other of my applications. is anyone else experiencing this? any tips to troubleshoot? since i'm addicted to both iPhone and Frenchpod i'm eager to merge these two loves.
merci pour votre assistance!
cordialement,
laura

"Mai-je prendre votre chapeau, monsieur?
Et vos gants?
Et ton manteau? Merci, monsieur. "
(marche de l'hôtel, des sauts en voiture de sport, des vagues au revoir, conduit loin )
[The discussion at the end of the podcast reminded me of a scene from the Pink Panther:
"May I take your hat, sir?
And your gloves?
And your coat? Thankyou sir."
(walks out of hotel, jumps in sports car, waves goodbye, drives off)]

Et oui Monica, comme on dit en français (as we say in French) :
'Il faut frapper avant d'entrer.' (One should knock before entering)

Te souviens-tu du nom du film? (Do you remember the name of the movie?)
Et vos gants?
Et votre manteau? Merci, monsieur. "
(sort de l'hôtel, saute dans une voiture de sport, fait au revoir de la main, part en conduisant)
J'aime beaucoup la Panthère Rose bababardwan. J'ai envie de voir le film maintenant.
(I like the Pink Panther a lot bababardwan. I want to watch the movie now : )

Salut Amaury,
btw...how do you make this " ç " a capital ? When I try I get 9 instead.

Salut bababardwan,
To make a " ç " capital, French people use "C" with no cedilla. It's the same thing when a capital is made from à, è, é, ... : it's going to be A, E, E, ... So, no worries.
I'm going to check your comment :

Salut 7elwa et bienvenue à FrenchPod,
I would advise you to listen to a couple of Newbie lessons and practice with them. Then move to a couple of elementary lesson and a couple od intermediate ones so you can find out which level is the best for you.
Once you've done that, it's good to listen to the dialogs and the explanations as many times as you can : you can play each sentence of the dialog separately and spoken slowly and clearly when you go in the 'dialogue' section on top of the page.
To get further information you have chosen some 'vocabulary' words, which are the most important ones in the dialogs and we have written expansions to use them in context and understand them.
The 'Supplementary Vocabulary' is helpful to complete your studies on the topic of the lesson and the exercises are useful to practice immediately (although it's true they're a bit easy sometimes).
As soon as you have a query, ask us a question on one of the discussion boards. You will make a lot of progress quickly if you practice everyday.
So good luck with your French studies.

De rien bababardwan,
You forgot a "u" and it's the determiner "vos" if 'corrections' is plural : "Merci Amaury pour vos corrections."
I also think that Steve Martin did a great job but at the end of the day I will always prefer the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers.

Salut bababardwan,
Thanks so much for your lesson. I would like you to correct my sentence below:
" Merci, pour votre lesson. Qu' - est - ce je peux faire, si je voudrais improver avec mon ecoutement."
This sentence I mean " Thanks for your lesson. What can I do if I want to improve my listening skill. "

Sopheaphour,
I'd be happy to try and help, but I'm just a fellow Poddie.I can't see any obvious errors in what you have written, but I'm at the same stage as you.I think you are getting me confused with someone else.Perhaps Amaury or Marion33 will be kind enough to help you out.Bonne chance :)

Hi Sopheaphour and Bababardwan,
Indeed, I think that you made a little confusion, but it`s great that Frenchpod users help each others!
I`ll be happy to correct your sentence Sopheaphour:
Merci, pour votre leçon. Qu' est-ce que je peux faire si je veux améliorer ma compréhension orale?
Je te conseille d`écouter les podcasts de Frenchpod! :)
