Lesson Introduction
In today's podcast, with the song `Tabou` we introduce `Les Nubians`, a band formed by two sisters who have both European and African roots. So expect two beautiful voices with some jazzy, funky stuff.

I've never been a fan of jazzy funky stuff, but Les Nubians sound good.

I love this song. It's a fusion sound and the lyrics are intelligent. I love the word play involved & they speak clearly!

Cette chanson sounds alot like "The Sweetest Taboo" by Sade, like Amaury said.

As an American who has always loved Sade's version, I can see why this song by Les Nubians is such a hit over there. Their voices, the harmonies, the instrumentals are gorgeous -- it is such a treat to listen to. Thanks to Eruworld who gave us the lyrics and the YouTube, ditto to poissonnoir for Sade's video.
I think Voulez-vous chanter avec moi is one of the best things about French Pod. You give us the music, the words, some history and also a hint at the deeper meaning. It feels good to be able to discuss these artists and their music with my French friends! Thank you French Pod!!
