Dear Esti,
Yes, it is great to have people from a lot of different places in the team !
We can make fun of each other accent !!
Is that what they do at SpanishPod ?
I'm glad you decided to start learning french with us ... and from what I just read ... it's a good thing we are starting with Newbie lessons !

I've been spending quite a bit of time over at ChinesePod the last year. I'm in an intensive training program, learning Mandarin, and I almost feel bad to say that I'm so much more excited about FrenchPod. My foreign language background is in French, and I've been looking for a way to continue my studies on my own. I look forward to spending much time with you all in the near future! Yay for FrenchPod!

Félicitations, FrenchPod. I've been hanging out at ChinesePod for some time now. However, the Canadian in me has been eagerly awaiting your launch. Hopefully FrenchPod can help me brush up on my French and connect with French Canada. If FrenchPod is anything like ChinesePod, I'm sure it will also be a great success.

HOW HAPPY am I?! VERY!!!
For heritage reasons, I'm "on a mission" to become fluent in Mandarin, but I happened across this launch of Frenchpod JUST in time! I work with the French regularly and veux parler couramment en francais aussi. Since I'm technically LAME about the computer I'm using (not mine; Chinese characters only appear as squares), I'll have to focus more on this site for the duration... Tres bien. Merci en avance, Amaury, Erica, Christela, Christophe!

I hope I can keep up. I love the sound of French. Fifteen years ago I spent six months in Paris, and got to the stage of translating the lead article on the opinion page of Le Monde once a week. But I do not have a good enough ear for the language, and could never follow speech, much less generate my own sentences. So there's a bit of optimism in signing on here.

can I learn french if I was 13 years old and I am in seventh?
ericat says
July 19, 2008
Bonjour to all the newcomers and bienvenue à FrenchPod!
But, of course, you can learn French at 13, sylvera! In fact, younger people often find it easier to pick up and learn foreign languages. Even if you find that you are not able to commit to learning the language fluently at this age because there are so many other things going on in your life that you are learning as a student, any exposure to French now will help you develop a passion for the language and the culture that will stay with you forever, and inspire you to come back to it in the future when you are able to make a deeper commitment.
It is never too early to start learning French. And, for those of you who are not 13, it is never too late! Bonne chance!

Hi everybody, (I mean everyone who in the FrenchPod team and everyone who have left comment)
I'm really impressed to find such an amazing website.
I'm not French (of course not!), But even not English! (Is that obvious!?)
I don't know any thing about French. Can I learn french just by FrenchPod, or I need some other extra materials to start?
I asked above question because I didn't learn english by EnglishPod, BUT I improved it.
Thanks in advance. I'm going to start my FrenchPod course.
á bientôt! (I think it means, bye for now!)

July 28, 2008
Hi Frenchpod team,
I have a suggestion. As you know, for learning any language, everyone should know the use of the dictionary. The basic use of dictionary is to find out how to pronounce the words. For understanding the pronunciation of words, we must understand phonetics. All dictionary learn phonetics with some very simple words.
Here's the point, I don't even familiar with very very simple and basic French vocabularies!!
I think the best thing to do is preparing a 'Phonetics' course and put it before 'Newbie' course.
many thanks!
Tbooti

Bonjour à tous.
Bienvenue à FrenchPod sosolibya, aboozar, liverpool4_life, billg, Ahmad Jafari, re323 et merci pour vos messages.
Salut anugrah,
You need to say "FrenchPod est le meilleur!" and "J'espère que je l'ai bien dit." or "J'espère que je l'ai dit correctement."
We use 'mieux' in French to compare like in "French Pod est mieux que Spanish Pod." French Pod is better than Spanish Pod. Just an example, we love them ; )))
