Remember Me
Future Tense

The future tense, or as we say in French, le futur, is used when, well, you're talking about the future. It is one of the easier tenses to conjugate because it follows a very predictable pattern and is generally used when you would say "will" in English.

Examples:
Je parlerai = I will speak
Ils iront = They will go

French has another way to talk about the future called le futur proche. It involves using aller, the French word to say 'to go,' followed by the infinitive of the verb in question, just like we do in English.

Examples:
Je vais aller = I am going to go
Il va partir = He is going to leave
